About Child and Adolescent Mental Health, CPD - at University of Derby Online Learning

Ideally suited for individuals working with children and young people, this course will provide an overview of some of the common mental and emotional health issues that can be experienced by children and young people and will consider the impact that these health issues may have for the young person and their families. The Child and Adolescent Mental Health course will also offer some low level strategies and advice when supporting a child or young person with a mental health issue.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health course will specifically consider working with young people with anxiety and depression and also children and young people who self-harm. In addition, the course will consider the impact of having Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and will review some approaches on how to support children and young people with ASD.
