Language Requirements

The official language of Lebanon is Arabic, but you will also hear Lebanese Arabic and French spoken throughout the country.

In Lebanon, the primary languages of teaching at universities are Arabic and French, with English becoming increasingly common. International students might be required to show proficiency in the language of their chosen program. Arabic is widely used, but a significant number of universities also offer programs in English and French to accommodate international students from all over the world.

For students who do not meet the necessary language proficiency, many universities in Lebanon provide language courses to help improve their skills. This will not only help students to meet the language standards, but also allow them to immerse themselves in their new environment.
