About Physiotherapy, MSc - at University of East Anglia (UEA)

Study

The two-year programme will equip students with the academic skills required, plus the professional and clinical skills expected of a newly qualified Physiotherapist. The programme adopts an inquiry-based learning ethos focused on student-centred independent learning, problem solving and decision making. There will be an evolving level of complexity; from engaging with case scenarios that develop baseline theoretical and therapeutic understandings, through to complex situations addressing service development needs.

Structure

The course includes interagency learning, where you will collaborate with students and community partners from other health-related disciplines. You will be assigned your own personal adviser to guide you through the course. There will also be the opportunity for practice development placement, where you can build theory-practice links outside of the normal placement provision; potentially outside the UK.

Teaching

When you study in the School of Health Sciences you will receive a sound academic and practice based education. This Master's course is designed to be professionally dynamic and personally transforming with a creative, challenging and engaging approach to study. The teaching staff are continually involved in research so you can benefit from their knowledge of the very latest practices and techniques, working in partnership with them on this research.

Employability

This is an accelerated pre-registration course designed to allow graduates the opportunity to enter the profession of Physiotherapy. Studying in the School of Health Sciences with experts in their field will ensure you fulfill your own potential and get the best possible start on this rewarding career path.

Entry requirements

Open to applicants with a good first degree (min. 2.1 or higher) in Human Biology, Sports Science or a related subject. The University will also take into account the employment and work shadowing experience of applicants, where relevant.
