Entry requirements

In order to be admitted to Tio's Master programme, you need to meet the following requirement:

A bachelor's degree equivalent to the Dutch standard for admission to a master's programme (this will be checked by our Admissions team).
In addition, you need an English test, which proves your English proficiency is at (or exceeds) the level of CEFR: ≥ C1. Tio accepts one of the following three qualifications as proof of English proficiency: TOEFL: iBT ≥ 90 points, IELTS academic: ≥ 6.5 overall, PTE Pearson ≥ 64 points, or Cambridge exam: > 180 points or a Cambridge First Certificate.
Students from the following countries (or students who have completed their bachelor's degree in these countries) are exempted from the English test requirement: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand.
Knowledge of finance and marketing: This prior knowledge is necessary in order to be able to make a deeper understanding of these fields within the master. After registration, Tio checks whether you have sufficient knowledge. This depends on your previous education. If your knowledge is insufficient, an extra module can be followed at the start of the master programme.
Work experience 0 - 3 years.
Resume (CV). A letter of recommendation is an advantage.
Valid passport (non-EU/EEA) or IC (EU).

Fees, Funding and Scholarships at Tio Business School

Tio offers scholarships to foreign students from the European Union (EU /EEA) and to non-European students for its English bachelor courses. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year.

Tio Super Talent Scholarship

The amount of this scholarship is € 10,450 per full degree student. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year. It is possible to apply for this scholarship every year. You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:

You must have outstanding study results.
You must have an IELTS Academic score of 7.0 or higher, TOEFL iBT score of 100 or higher, Cambridge exam of CAE-A or higher or CEFR C1 level or higher.

Tio Talent Scholarship

The amount of this scholarship is € 5,225 per full degree student. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year. It is possible to apply for this scholarship every year. You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:

You must have above average study results.
You must have an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 or higher, TOEFL iBT score of 90 or higher, Cambridge exam of CAE-B or higher or CEFR C1 level or higher.

How to apply for the scholarships

If you would like to be considered for a scholarship, you need to provide Tio with the following information:

Send your letter of motivation and curriculum vitae in English to [email protected].
Attach a letter of recommendation in English from your former (secondary) school.
Attach a legalised copy of all Higher Education qualifications translated into English.
Attach a legalised copy of recent mark/grade lists translated into English.
Attach a legalised copy of your English language proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL).

Within two weeks of your scholarship application, you will be informed whether or not the scholarship can be awarded. When awarded, the scholarship is paid out as a discount on your tuition fee. All scholarships are subject to availability and only available for non-Dutch nationality students.

From Spain to a lot of rain: 'Totally worth it!'
